We had a big clean up of our studio last few days, because we got a filming our gallery and glassblowing with Rose, a presenter for Channel 7, Sydney Weekender. It will be on air some time in June. This is our second time by the this program. Last time it was a long time ago, maybe 5 years ago and was brief, but this time they spent with us from 12pm till 5: 30pm. 4 local people came for the extra in the gallery. We are so glad and thankful to local support. I am very tired today.

A slow day
It was last day of glassblowing today. I have set up the temperature controller of our melting furnace witch was on all the time 24/7 for last few years to shutting down mode. It takes 10 days to complete the process . I am going to have a break from glassblowing for a couple months to refresh my self and reorganise my life for next. I will be back to glassblowing in April.
I went to our workshop to check the furnace temperature at night and saw the sky.
I made a mistake with today's my cooking. I just made "minestrone soup"witch I had some successes with using tomato juice in past. But I saw a tin tomato soup in my cupboard, so I put the soup instead of juice. My soup became too sweet and awful, and could not fix it. I was so disappointed. I will never buy the tin tomato soup in my life again.

The first day of glassblowing 2009
We open our gallery to public from this weekend and it was the first day of glassblowing in 2009 today. I have told many people "We will shut down our furnace in December 2008 and having a break from glassblowing till March 2009." But we have not shut it down yet. The main glass melting furnace has been running for 2 years non-stop 24 hours 7 days a week. We do not work like the furnace but our mind cannot away from the furnace when it is on. It takes 10 days to cool and 10 days to heat it up again. We would not do on/off often. We still have to do some work before shutting down.

First day of 2009
Ogishi Craft Centre is having 10 years anniversary in 2009.
We are definitely 10 years older and our daughter has grown up from a toddler to a teenager since 1999.
I put on weight as like most Australian does but except my husband as you may know.
As a glass artist my life is still a challenging, developing and continuing experience.
